Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNO): National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday exuded hope that Jammu and Kashmir would itself become Bollywood.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) here, Dr Farooq, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “I believe J&K will eventually develop its own strong film industry. I think we will ourselves become Bollywood.”
He congratulated the organisers of the first-ever International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK), expressing hope that the festival would open new avenues for young talent in the region.
Dr Farooq said the initiative was a “very good thing” and hoped young boys and girls would make the most of the platform. “Artists, writers, music directors and film directors will emerge from here. Our children are good in every field,” he said.
